Virgil Young (Vy) Mauldin

Virgil Young Mauldin, better known as VY was born in Panama City, Florida on August 30, 1934, to Jacob Young Mauldin and Foy Lou (Wesley) Mauldin. VY passed away Saturday morning, June 3, 2023, at Southeast Colorado Hospital Long Term Care in Springfield, Colorado; he was 88 years old. VY was proud of his military service in the United States Marine Corps. After the military, VY worked in the aerospace program as a Radar Field Engineer. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Lenna Jo of Springfield, CO; daughter, Pat Christie of Springfield, CO; son, Virgil (Rusty) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; grandchildren, family, and friends. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Maltbie Funeral Services, 265 W. 8th Ave., Springfield, CO with VFW Post #4001 honor guard honoring VY’s military service.
