Treva Jo Pearce of Pritchett Colorado passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018. She was born at home on November 1, 1936, in Pritchett Colorado to Loren and Eula Pearce. Treva is survived by sisters: Nadeen Hornor of Providence Forge Virginia and Jackie Schlager (Bill Porterfield) of Garden City Kansas and brother Jack (Frankie Dee) Pearce of Kim, Colorado.

On April 15, 1955, Treva married Don Phillips in Clayton, New Mexico.  From this marriage, five children were born including Randy (Reva) Phillips of Pritchett, twins, Renee (Arlyn) Algrim of Garden City, Kansas and Ricky Phillips who passed away as an infant, Cheryl (Doug) Davis of Pritchett and Stephanie (Bob) Arellano of Garden City Kansas.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren:  Kascie (Andrew) Colomy, Danyel (Bret) Willems, Zach (Kenzie) Davis, Alyson (Josh) Reeves, Tyler (Jessica) Algrim, twins -  Amie (David Geiger) Algrim and Audra Algrim, Michael (Sasha Uthe) Algrim, and Jordan (Tyler) Arellano, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Treva spent all of her school years at Pritchett School and graduated at 16 years of age in 1953 as the president of her class.  While in school she worked at the drug store in Pritchett Colorado.  After graduation, she worked at the grocery store in Walsh Colorado for a year.  Treva and Don began their 53 years of a happy life together in Pritchett Colorado.  During their marriage Treva devoted her life and heart to raising the family, taking care of the home and supporting Don in his many endeavors and was a major supporter of the family farm.

Treva was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She loved being surrounded by all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Treva loved her family but she also put a lot of importance on a clean house and worked tirelessly to that end.  She was famous with all of her family for her homemade noodles and “Nana” was loved by all of her family even when she threatened to “thump them on their noggin”.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband Don, and infant son Ricky. She will be greatly missed and leave an enormous hole in the hearts of those left behind.
