Riley Callahan was born August 21, 1948 in La Junta, CO to Lyman and Vela Callahan. He spent his high school years in Springfield, Colorado where he met the love of his life Judi Hoover.

Riley and Judi were married in 1969 where they built a beautiful life. During their 46 years of marriage, they raised two daughters Melissa RiLynn and Bronwyn Janae. They enjoyed camping, arrowhead hunting, fishing, boating and all the adventures of the wide-open spaces of Wyoming.

Riley was known for being kind, dependable and ornery but most of all his ability to tell a story and make people laugh. He often shared the joys of fishing, camping and motorcycle riding with anyone who wanted to join him. Most of all he reveled in being able to share those hobbies with his four grandchildren, Garett, Karley, Elysa and Wyatte and his son-in-law Jason.

On February 8, 2024, Riley passed away at home being taken care of by his son-in-law (Jason). He went peacefully and has now joined the love of his life (Judi) and his daughter (Tiffany) as well as many other family and friends to carry out his story telling for eternity.

Riley is survived by his daughters Melissa (Jason) Loner of Wesley Chapel FL, and Bronwyn Callahan of Rock Springs WY. He is also survived by grandchildren Karley Callahan, Garett Loner, Elysa Loner, and Wyatte Loner, brother Lyman John Callahan, Jr. and two sisters, Clarissa and Justin Shaffer and Ann-Alea and Brad Ratliff as well as many nieces and nephews.
