Ricky D Wade

Ricky Dale Wade was born April 14, 1959, in Walsh, CO. to Roy and Sally Wade.  He was survived by his Mother and Stepfather, Sally and Delmar Holmes, His children Karoline and David Wade, also his Grandmother Margaret Wade, Uncle Kenny (Penny) Wade and Uncle Dennis (Janell) Dunivan. He was preceded in death by his Father Roy Wade, Brothers Joe Bob & Justin Wade, and Grandfather Hallie Wade.

Ricky had many life experiences that he cherished. Ricky loved being a son and brother. He loved to travel and drive big trucks. He loved learning from his dad. He loved playing and watching all sports. At one time he was an avid skier and bowler. He had numerous perfect games and even participated in some professional tournaments. At one time he was a proud business owner. Given the fact that he waited 46 years to be a father, his favorite life experience was definitely being a father. He loved his children very much. He loved everything about being a dad. From cutting the umbilical cord to changing diapers to playing outside to watching them play sports or watching them do things they loved like riding bikes, shooting guns, or driving. He was a proud daddy.

Some of his family’s favorite memories are of family vacations-especially four-wheeling in Arizona. His children’s favorite memories are of being taught to drive by Ricky, playing at the park, and riding occasionally in a big truck with Dad. Ricky was well-loved and will never be forgotten.

Ricky was often prayed for to be saved and those prayers were answered right before his recent emergency surgery. Because of Ricky’s fondness for his Stepfather Delmar, Ricky allowed and chose to have Delmar lead him through the salvation prayer. Praise God! Ricky passed peacefully into his Heavenly Father’s arms at 7:45 p.m. on February 29, 2020. Rickly will forever be missed by we are thankful that we’ll get to see him again one day in Heaven.

A memorial service was held Friday, March 6, 1:00 p.m at Maltbie Funeral Services, 265 W. 8 ^th Ave, in Springfield, CO.
