Rebecca Waalkes Dodge

Rebecca Maxine Machlan came into the world as a spitfire; born in Mesquite, Texas on April 1, 1979, to Vickie and Paul Machlan. Not only was Becki a beautiful baby, she was something no one expected…A GIRL!!

Becki with an “I” as she was most commonly known by all, made her journey home on June 12, 2018, in Denver, Colorado surrounded by family and close friends.

Throughout her life, Becki called a lot of places home: Texas, Florida, and Colorado, but Colorado was always her favorite. Becki attended high school in Elbert County, Colorado where she met Bobby Waalkes. Bobby and Becki became high school sweethearts, eventually marrying, January 14, 1998. To this union, there were three children born. She was an amazing Mother!

Reb made friends everywhere she went. Her infectious smile and contagious laugh could light up the darkest sky. Becki enjoyed the outdoors, dancing in the rain, and camping. 80s rock and county were her favorite types of music. She put her all into everything she did and will be missed most, for her loving, compassionate heart.

Rebecca is survived by her three children, Son Dakota (Angie) Waalkes of Burlington, CO, Son Hunter Waalkes of Springfield, CO, and Daughter Freedom Waalkes of Springfield, CO, two fur babies Angel and Fox, siblings Elizabeth “Chrissy” (Jason) Lee of Manassas, VA, Tara (James) Clendenin of South Florida, and Paul Machlan Jr. of Springfield, CO, multiple nieces, nephews and many friends. Other family includes Bobby Waalkes, Yvonne Waalkes, and John Waalkes.
