Polletta Beth Smith
July 15, 1954 — August 1, 2021
Polletta passed away at Southeast Colorado Hospital in Springfield, Colorado on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the age of 66.
Polletta loved to create and majored in art. Anyone who knew her knew she was a very talented artist who found joy and comfort in creating for those around her. During her early years as an artist she became known for painting landscapes and Native American Portraits.
Polletta felt that a personal touch of a handmade card was heartfelt and genuine. She carefully would create beautiful cards to send to beloved friends and family.
While Polletta loved all animals, and usually had a feline companion, Siamese cats always held a special place in her heart.
Polletta married the love of her life, Dennis Smith, on April 23rd 1976
Polletta is survived by Son Bruce Smith of Campo, Colorado, Daughter and Son-in-law, Emmaleah and Eric Wait, Grandchildren Robby Wait and Madison Wait all of Havana, Arkansas.
Polletta was proceeded in death by her parents Lunsford and Emma Lynch, and husband Dennis Smith.
The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service scheduled to be held Wednesday, August 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Maltbie Funeral Services, 265 W. 8th Ave., Springfield, CO
