Oscar passed away February 14, 2022, at Springfield Nursing Care Center, with his family by his side. He was born August 1, 1937, to Oscar Sr. and Lillie Eden in Lamar Colorado. He was the youngest child of 13. He attended school thru the 8th and then was needed to work on the family farm. He began is career as a lineman in Springfield, Colorado for Southeast Colorado Power Company then transferring with them in 1965 to La Junta where 4 of his children were born. In 1973, he moved to Grand Junction and went to work at Grand Valley Rural until his retirement in 1992. His last two children were born there.

During his career, Oscar experienced a couple tragic accidents. In the winter of 1968/1969, he was in an accident where he sustained a broken back and several other injuries. In 1974 the was electrocuted. The electricity entered in his left hand and exited his left leg. He had multiple burns and surgeries resulting in the loss of his left ring finger.

On October 22, 1995, he married the love of his life, Charlotte Robins. Oscar and Charlotte lived in Springfield at the time of his passing.

Oscar was survived by his wife Charlotte of the home. Children Jodell (Kris) Swallow of Battlement Mesa, CO., Janice (Dennis) DeLong of Pueblo West, CO., Jerry (Gerilynn) Eden of Gwinn, MI., Julie (Jerry) Davidson of Colorado City, CO., Jami (Jason) Bennett of San Antonio, TX., and Bo (Denice) Eden of La Junta, CO. Stepson Doug LaPar of Springfield.

Grand children Ben (Chauntreal) Williams, Cory (Kendra) Williams, Brittany Swallow, Misty (Brian) Keener, Cassie DeLong, Brandon (Collene) Eden, Daniel (Kristin) Eden, Heidi Eden (fiancé Garrett), Kittrick (Deena) Davidson, Kolby (Callie) Davidson, Devony Carey, Andrew (Monica) Bennett, Jacob (Grace) Bennett, Tyler Eden, Jackson Eden and step granddaughter Tajia.

Great grand children Brenden Brant, Jayden, Hadley, Ella, Harper, Jakoah, Hunter, Everett, Adeline, Ashton, Declan, Sawyer, Oliver, Liam and Noah.

One sister in-law Mable Eden and “forty, eleven”, as Oscar would say, nieces and nephews.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Lillie Eden, father and mother in-law, Earl and Vivian Robins. Brothers Harold, Birchel, Tom, Gene, Jack, Bill, Bucie, James, Bob, and an infant baby and sisters Letha and Alice and their spouses.

Services will be held at Campo High School in Campo, CO. at 2:00 P.M., with burial at Campo Cemetery following the services
