Nikki Lynn Neal (Leimkuhler)

Nikki Lynn Leimkuhler Neal, age 62, passed away suddenly, November 7, 2017 at her home in Springfield, Colorado where she and her mother resided. Nikki was born January 1, 1955 in Lamar Colorado to Kenneth and Eltha Lynn Leimkuhler. She was the oldest of 4 children. Nikki graduated from Springfield High School in 1973 and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins CO, as well as nursing school at Lamar Community College. Nikki had been employed as an LPN in the healthcare industry for several years in both Lamar and Springfield. She also worked as a manager of Walden Books in Pueblo for several years, as well as a few other jobs. Nikki was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church, Rainbow for Girls and was a Girl Scout as a child. She enjoyed swimming and eventually became a lifeguard. She was very outgoing and when she loved, she loved wholeheartedly. This was seen by all, as she cared for her Mother over the last several years at home. Nikki was preceded in death by her Father Kenneth Leimkuhler, Maternal Grandparents Jesse and Florence Gabbert, and Paternal Grandparents Carl and Bernita Leimkuhler. Nikki is survived by her mother Eltha Lynn Leimkuhler of Springfield CO, Sister Lori (Les) Schroyer of Lamar CO, Sister Michelle (Boyd) Westeman of Syracuse KS, Brother Kyle (Heather) Leimkuhler of Leoti, KS, Nephews Phillip Packard & Evan Westeman, Niece Emily Westeman as well as several other extended family members.  The "Nikki Neal Memorial Account" has been established at the Frontier Bank for those who would like to express their sympathy.
