Mike Jordan

Mike Jordan, a loving father and grandfather,  was born to Lark Jordan Jr. and Bettie May (Hyatt) Jordan on August 31, 1956 in Colorado. He passed away January 22, 2021 at Southeast Colorado Hospital in Springfield, Colorado when he lost his battle with cancer at the age of 64.

He started working as a carpenter at a young age and did it for many years. Mike married Gretchen Cornell in 1995 and took in her three children as his own, Tonya Cornell, Uriah Jordan, and Teeanna Jordan.

Though he was a man of few words, Mike enjoyed spending time with family most of all. He also enjoyed working to provide for his family and he always said it brought him much joy. Mike worked great with his hands and has built many things in his life, but the greatest thing he built was his relationship with his grandchildren, who he treasured the most. Mike was known for his infectious laugh, his great advice, his kind and compassionate spirit, and his love of God.

Mike was preceded in death by his father Lark Jordan Jr., mother Bettie May Jordan, three brothers, Tommy, Larry, and Jim Jordan. He is survived by his three children, Tonya, Uriah, and Teeanna, His 10 grandchildren Jaden, Alexzawndra, Ashlynn, Jordan, Jesse, Christian, Kailub, Ember, Zoey, Cole, His brother Albert Jordan, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family chose cremation and a Celebration of life will be held at Springfield Cemetery Saturday, April 10th 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
