Michael Eugene Rogge was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 2, 1947, to Arthur Rogge and Barbara (Stubbs) Rogge. Mike was raised in the Wichita area along with his two sisters; Leann and Sue.

Mike was called to serve in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam war. After he was discharged from the Navy; Mike became his own boss. He owned different businesses; one of his endeavors was carpet laying for Sears, Roebuck, and Co. His passion was auto-body restore and painting cars and motorcycles. He was a motorcycle enthusiast; every year Mike and his wife Jackie went to the Sturgis Rally’s. The couple lived in Sturgis for eight years and worked at the National Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame catering to motorcycle enthusiasts. Mike and Jackie moved to Campo, Colorado to care for a granddaughter. Mike found employment at the City of Campo managing the Landfill until it closed.

Mike married Jackie Oakley on December 14, 1985; for 35 ½ years they have been together.

Sadly, Mike passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at his home in Campo, Colorado surrounded by his family; he was 73 years old.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Barbara Rogge.

Michael leaves behind his wife Jackie of 35 years; four children, Sylinda, Carolyn, 50 years old; Karen, 49 years old; Christopher, 39 years old. Six grandchildren, Dara, 29 years old; Demora, 24 years old; Alayna, 18 years old; Raegan, 14 years old; Kody, 14 years old and Shelby, 28 years old. Three great-grandchildren, Wynwry, 7 years old; Cannon Jones, 5 years old; and Caven Jones, 2 years old. Also, two sisters, Leann, 65 and husband, Tom Slonecker; Sue, 63 and husband, Randy Barber and one brother, Steven, 61 and wife, Vicki Rogge.

Mike is loved and dearly remembered by all!!

A celebration of life will be held on Mike’s birthday, October 2, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church, 1515 E. Harry, Wichita, Kansas.
