Mary "Merry" Euphama Wheeler

Mary “Merry” Euphama Wheeler passed away on October 6, 2020, after a long fight with complications of a major stroke in 2015.    Mary passed from this world with her family by her side.

Mary was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas on December 23, 1938, to the late Leland and Mildred Dobbs.

Mary was a dedicated and extremely loving mother and grandmother.  She was a devoted member of the church, encouraging friend and lover of animals.    Mary was well dressed and well-spoken.   She had an immense thirst for knowledge and was always reading anything and everything she could find on many subjects ranging from history to politics; but, loved the Bible above all else.     She was a wealth of knowledge and a wonderful conversationalist.     Mary was exceptionally hard working and independent.  She was beautiful, honest, genuine, compassionate, generous, friendly, understanding, intelligent, and profoundly kind.

Mary was greatly loved and will be forever missed by all those that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Naomi Ruth Dobbs and Lella Moses

She is survived by 7 children,   Scott Wheeler, Robin Wheeler, Jinger Barth, Matthew Wheeler, Beverlea Hebberd, Mark Wheeler, and Sutton Kasch.    She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services for Mary will be held Saturday, October 10, at Maltbie Funeral Chapel. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.-noon; and then Mary’s memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will follow the memorial service at Springfield Cemetery.
