Margaret met Lawrence Jordan in 1936 and they were married on November 1, 1937, in Springfield. They lived at the homestead northeast of Kim. She was instrumental in starting the Southern Colorado Chapter of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation to help educate patients about the disease. She wrote many letters and shared support to others who were afflicted by MG.
After Lawrence passed away in 2005, Margaret lived at home where she was an avid reader and wrote in her journals daily. In 2013 she moved to the Long Term Care Unit in Springfield where she made many friends and resided there until her death.
