Margaret Fay Bunting of Pritchett, Colorado retired into her eternal home on July 31, 2020 at eighty- eight years of age. Margaret Fay, the youngest of eight children, was born on May 2, 1932 to Jesse and Fern Allen at their home southwest of Deora, Colorado. Her older brothers took the Model T to Graft to call the doctor, driving it so hard the exhaust caught the wooden floor boards on fire. When asked how much he charged, the doctor said he would crawl all the way out there and deliver the baby for twenty- five dollars. At the age of five her parents bought and moved to the Andrix Cash Store and Post Office at Andrix, Colorado. She attended grade school at the Andrix school then high school at Kim until the eleventh grade. In April of 1952 she saw a tall, lean cowboy leaning against the wall of the First National Bank in Springfield and was not impressed. On September 15 th of the same year she married that tall, lean cowboy, Arthur Bunting, in Raton, New Mexico. A marriage that lasted one month shy of sixty-eight years. Born to this union was Bill in 1955, Judy in 1957, and Kristi in 1972. Whoops. Arthur and Margaret spent their lives farming and ranching on the Bunting family homestead southwest of Pritchett. She was very active in school activities, supporting students and loved and is loved by several generations of young people. She loved doing plays, skits and readings to bring joy and laughter to others lives as well as devoting much time to helping others in her community. She is survived by her husband Arthur, son Bill [Cheryl] Bunting, daughter Judy Bunting and daughter Kristi [Kyle] Boydstun. She is also survived by two grandsons, one granddaughter, two bonus grandsons, one bonus granddaughter, seven bonus great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Her family is saddened by their loss as they rejoice that her faith in Jesus Christ has assured her an eternal mansion with streets of gold prepared just for her.
