Lydia Luciana Burciaga passed away, May 17, 2021, at University Hospital - Highlands Ranch. She was born in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico, on January 7, 1952, to Jesus Reyes and Casimira Escobar. Lydia graduated from Springfield High School in 1970 and then began nursing school at Pikes Peak Community College. However, she soon returned to Springfield to help her mother and younger siblings. She married Armando Jesus Burciaga on July 31, 1974, and settled in Springfield. They would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on July 31, 2021.

In addition to her parents, Lydia was predeceased by a daughter, Renee Elizabeth Burciaga, two brothers, Manuel and Oscar Escobar, a younger sister, Guadalupe “Lupe” Escobar Jimenez, and a nephew, Miguel Angel Jimenez. Surviving family, including her husband Armando, two sons, Alfredo Jesus “Freddy” Burciaga and Armando Miguel “Mundy” Burciaga of Denver; one brother, Joe Escobar and his wife, Viola of Denver, one sister, Luz Hargis and her husband Jim, of Springfield; and extended family spanning Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico.
