Loretta was born in Springfield, Colorado on April 16, 1941, the second of three daughters born to Earl and Vivian Robins. She attended Springfield schools for her entire education and graduated from Springfield High School in May of 1960. That summer, she met her match when she served Norman Granger ice cream at the Gale Drug fountain counter. On September 18, 1960, Norman and Loretta were married at the Springfield Church of God. Their union was blessed with three children: Kandi, born in 1961; Dallas, born in 1963; and Judd, born in 1965.

Over the years, Loretta held several jobs, and many will remember her time as a cashier at Thriftway in Springfield. She had many hobbies, including embroidery, and her family cherishes the sets of hand-embroidered dish towels she made for them.

Loretta was also well known for her collections. Her love for collecting chickens began during a childhood hospital stay when someone gifted her a ceramic chicken, growing into a large collection she was very proud of. She also collected... SHOES....., she had a pair to match every outfit, particularly leather moccasins with beaded designs. If there is a color of moccasins made that Loretta did not have, it would be shocking.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Vivian Robins; her sister, Dorothy Faulkner; and her brother-in-law, Oscar Eden.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Norman Granger; her daughter, Kandi (Mike) Rosengrants; her sons, Dallas (Teri) Granger and Judd Granger; her sister, Charlotte Eden; her brother-in-law, Bob Faulkner; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Alice Wooldridge; as well as 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
