Lonna Jean (Hendricks) Lemere was born June 5, 1951, in Milwaukee, WS and departed this life on May 10, 2017, in Springfield, CO after a short illness. Lonna was the oldest of 10 children-21 years older than her youngest sibling. Lonna grew up going to school in many different areas as did her siblings. After graduating high school, she moved back to Milwaukee, WS to live with her Aunt Bernice and Uncle Hank, thus beginning her love for city life! She worked at many jobs throughout the years but was most proud to become a legal secretary for several years in San Antonio, TX. Lonna moved to Springfield 17 years ago to help take care of her family and she embraced country life. She always had a love for animals, especially cats but enjoyed her time caring for goats, sheep, llamas and dogs. Lonna worked for several years at Southeast Colorado Hospital and will be remembered for her work ethic and dedication. Lonna enjoyed her privacy and loved to read often reading 2-3 books at any given time. Lonna was feared and loved by her nieces and nephews for demanding manners, respect, and good behavior! Lonna is preceded in death by her grandparents Paul and Zella (Rush) Hendricks and George and Adeline (Parent) Lewis; brother Terry Hendricks, sister Bonnie Straughn and sister-in-law Sherry Hendricks. She leaves to mourn her passing her parents Paul and Deloris Hendricks, Paul (Evelyn) Hendricks, Carey (Butch) Wade, Randy (Pamela) Hendricks, Craig (Marilyn) Hendricks, Kevin (Paula) Hendricks, Shawn Hendricks, Jodi (Gala) Hendricks and Darin (Christa) Hendricks. Also numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her quick wit, honesty, and love for animals. Per Lonna’s request, there will be no formal services.
