Jerry Lynn Chandler was born in Springfield Colorado to Burnece and Alva Chandler on September 10, 1941 and was also welcomed by his five year old sister Vonetta.  Jerry passed away July 9, 2023 at Southeast Colorado Hospital at the age of 81.

Jerry was a hard worker and had passion and love of cars that began at an early age.  When he was 13 he bought his first car, a 1946 Nash Ambassador, from money he earned and saved from his paper route.

He graduated from Springfield High School with the class of 1959.  He went to college in New Mexico where he studied Civil Engineering. He returned home to work side by side with his father at Chandler Garage.  He learned to fix and repair cars and added selling used cars and custom harvesting to the business.

In 1978 he became an instant family man when he married Glenna and gained two daughters Neoma Kay and Wray Jean. Their family was complete when Jeffrey Jay was born in 1980. The family joined Jerry cutting wheat from Texas to Montana and on his many trips to car auctions.

In 1979 Jerry and Glenna opened Taco Johns and later after the harvesting years started contract cleaning for several local businesses.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Glenna, his parents B.G. and Alva Chandler, sister Vonetta Kennedy, infant grandchildren Dustin and Tonja Rose, and several in-laws.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Neoma Wait and Wray Jean Rose and husband Todd of Springfield Colorado, his son Vaden Chandler and wife Cheryl of Panhandle Texas.  Also surviving are Grandchildren Ian Pless, Dillon and Lacey Rose, Matt Rose and Great grandchildren Brantley, Jameson, and Jackson Rose all of Springfield Colorado,  In laws Keith Kennedy of St Cloud Minnesota, Kenneth and Sue Sniff of Lafayette Colorado, numerous other relatives and many car lovin’ friends.
