Gregory Scott Caricato

Gregory “Greg” Scott Caricato, 59, was born on Friday November 9th, 1962 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado and departed this life on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at his home in Springfield, Colorado.

Greg was the son of Bill and Josephine (Jody) Caricato of Pueblo, Colorado and the older brother of Kathryn (Kathy) Lane and Glenn Caricato of Pueblo, Colorado. Gregory graduated from South High School in Pueblo in 1981. Greg went on to Pueblo Community College where he received an Associates Degree. Greg went on to be a very successful salesman for Schwan’s and then Lawson Products in southeast Colorado. This is where he met the love of his life, Jessica (Goff) Caricato, whom he married on June 17, 1989 and started a family with. Together they raised three boys, Aaron (39), Vincent (30), and Sean (28). Greg was most proud of his three sons and the good men that they have become. Greg really enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing at his favorite spot, Rainbow Lake. Together, Greg and Jessica bought the Longhorn Steakhouse in 1998 and built up the successful business which is now in its 23rd year of serving good food in Baca County.

Greg is survived by his wife, Jessica Caricato of Springfield; son Aaron Caricato and spouse Jennifer Pratt of Arvada; son Vincent Caricato of Denver; son Sean Caricato of Wellington, CO; one grandson Hudson Caricato of Arvada; mother, Josephine (Jody) Caricato of Penrose, CO; sister Kathy and husband John Lane of Pueblo, CO; brother Glenn and wife Emily of Pueblo, CO; nieces Nicole Lane, Kyla Jo Caricato, Emily Caricato; nephew John Lane; cousins Sam and wife Annetta, Joey and wife Mary, Bobby and wife Julie, and Mary Ann Caricato. Greg also had numerous family members on his wife’s side of the family including her 8 sisters and 2 brothers.

Greg is preceded by his father, Bill Caricato, grandparents Angelo and Lily Gemma, Grandparents Sam and Phyllis Caricato.
