Grace Mullins

Cora Grace Mullins, 78, died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Southeast Colorado Hospital in Springfield, Colorado. Cora Grace Mullins was born on October 16, 1938, in Protection, Kansas. She was the daughter of Chester Bothwell and Faye Bothwell. Grace was a long-time resident of Springfield, Colorado where she co-owned Vick’s Supper Club and worked many years at various cafes. She also enjoyed cooking for broomcorn Johnnies and working at the Starlite Motel. Grace loved spending time with her children, grandkids, and friends. Grace married James Ackles and they had 3 children, Ricky, Connie, and Johnny, before his death in an auto accident. Grace later married Ted Mullins Jr. and together they had 2 children, Ted and Terry. After they went their separate ways, Grace later met her lifelong friend Bill Cheek where she gained 1 child Eddie and had 1 child, Mike. Grace is survived by daughter Connie (Rex) Blundell of Springfield, Son Ted Mullins and Vickie Estep of Springfield, Son Terry (Natalie) Mullins of Springfield, Son Mike Cheek and friend Amber Smith of Springfield, and son Eddie Cheek of Pritchett. Grace is also survived by 20 grandkids, 44 great- grandkids and 3 great-great grandkids. Grace is preceded in death by her Father Chester Bothwell, Mother Faye Bothwell, husbands James Ackles, and Ted Mullins Jr. lifelong friend Bill Cheek, son Ricky Lee Ackles, son Johnny Ward Ackles, Brother James Bothwell, Daughter-in-law Carla Cheek, and Granddaughter Jill Cheek. Grace will be missed by many friends, family, and community members.
