Frances Packard was born near Campo, Colorado on October 18, 1931. She was born to Ernest & Daisy Hiner and welcomed home by her older sister Violet. Frances graduated from Springfield High School in 1949. She attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for a semester and Western Bible College in Morrison, CO for a year. She met Alvin while he was accompanying Uncle Orlan in Edler, introducing the Gideons' presentation. Alvin and Frances were married on December 20, 1950 at the home of Osa and Hattie Packard on Horse Creek North of Walsh. To this union, 5 boys and 1 girl were born. Leonard, Marvin, Oran, David, Bonna, and Keith.

Frances worked on the farm right alongside Alvin; milking cows, slopping hogs, and cooking for Broom Corn harvest all while taking care of the house and children.

They moved to town and opened the Bible Book Store in December 1977. This was their way to serve the Lord and the churches in the area. They were also big contributing and founding members of Camp Salvation. Frances was a cook and a counselor at camp every summer for as long as their kids can remember. She loved to serve the Lord and lead in guiding people of all ages to the Lord in any way she could. Her kids have many memories of helping build and attending Camp Salvation.
