Due to recommendations concerning the Coronavirus, the family has chosen to hold a private family burial in the Campo Cemetery.
Viewing and final respects will be available to family & friends, Tuesday-Friday, 9-5, at Maltbie Funeral Services, 265 West 8 th Ave.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that those wanting to show their sympathy can contribute to the funeral expenses directly through the funeral home.
Ernest Henry Wait was born March 3, 1939, west of Campo CO to Edward Henry Wait and Anna Mae Sears. He was number 8 of 9 children. He departed to heaven on March 21, 2020, to attend the birthday party of his baby daughter Darla Renee who had made the same journey on December 21, 2019.

Children- Rick and Debbie Mask, Derek and Krystal Wait, Denny Wait, and Kevin Russell.
Grandchildren-Flint and Becki Mask, Chad and Ashley Mask, Chase and Allison Mask, Chance and Megan Wait, Channing Wait and Samantha Hatcher, Harlee Wait, Brandon Anderson, Kyla Wait, Conner Russell and Jordann Goodman, Carli Russell, Steven Abel, Tycona and Troy Cortez, and Jake and Samantha Abel.
Great- Grandchildren-Emery, Wyatt, Logan, Livi, Emmi, and Levi Mask, Brecken, Bristol and Baby Boy Branson Wait to be born in May, Lane Goodman, and Brennex Cortez.
Sisters- Elsie Cox and Mary Wallace
Step Children- Randy and Alesia Abel, Roger and Rhonda Abel, and Julie Lee.
Ernie is preceded in death by Wife Phyllis Flack Abel Wait, Daughter Darla Renee Wait Russell, Grandchildren Matthew Thayne, and Stephanie Abel.
