Edna was born September 15, 1924, to E.T. and Mattie (McClintock) Cottrell. She was born on her parent’s farm about 10 miles south of Vilas, Colorado.
She grew up on the family farm with her 2 older sisters Lavaun and Opal and her younger brother Gilbert.
Edna attended elementary and high school at Vilas, graduating with the class of 1942. She worked as a bookkeeper at Jett Hardware in Springfield after high school, then married her high school classmate, Dean Baldwin on October 25, 1943. Dean and Edna lived in Vilas until 1950, then moved to the farm about 6 miles southwest of Vilas where they raised their 3 sons. They were members of the Springfield United Methodist Church and were strong supporters of all their son's activities in the community.
They farmed and raised cattle for more than 50 years and in 2001 they retired and moved to Garden City Kansas.
In 2006 they moved to Parker Colorado to be near their sons and their families.
After more than 63 years of marriage, Dean passed away in 2007. Edna moved into a retirement community in Aurora, Colorado then to an assisted living facility in Littleton, Colorado.
She died at The Denver Hospice at Lowry on June 6, 2018, at the age of 93.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, her brother and her husband Dean.
She is survived by her 3 sons and their spouses, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Gary and Mary Baldwin of Parker Colorado, Melissa, and Corey Schroeder; their children Madison and Blake of Richmond Hills, Georgia, Katie and Felix Baquedeno; their children Felix and Alex of Paris, France.
Dennis and Kimberly Baldwin of Parker, Colorado, Christine and Brent Spradling of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Hannah Baldwin of Parker, Colorado.
Sister-in-law Nell Cottrell of Canon City, Colorado as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Verla Miller officiating.
