Carolyn Lou Carpenter

Carolyn Lou (Knapp) Carpenter was born January 27th, 1944, along with her twin sister to Fred and Lucille Knapp. She passed away on August 6, 2024, in Springfield with family by her side.
Carolyn obtained a business degree after high school. She enjoyed a good career while raising her daughter, Jennifer. She later met and married Bill Carpenter Sr. and welcomed his son, Bill Jr. In 1980, they welcomed daughter Melissa. The couple moved to California and settled in Springfield, Colorado.
Carolyn was known to be strong, patient, kind, and caring. She also had a stubborn streak seen in the kids.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, parents Fred and Lucille, siblings Fred, Marge (husband Paul), and Karen (husband Dave), and son-in-law Jay.
Carolyn is survived by children Bill Jr. (wife Rhonda), Jennifer, and Melissa; grandchildren Jennifer, Jake, Tara, Erica, Cody, Trae, Dustin, and Shaylee; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
