Cande Sanchez

Cande Sanchez was born on January 11, 1931, in Satanta, Kansas to Rufino and Clara Orosco.  She went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2020.  She moved to Springfield in 1962 and worked many years as a cook at the Main Café, Princess Lanes and Southeast Colorado Hospital while raising four children, Tom, Richard, Nancy and Larry as a single mother.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and supported them in all they would do.  She also enjoyed going out to lunch, having coffee in the afternoons and going to bingo with her friend Lyn Casper. Cande’s faith was very important to her and faithfully attended the Catholic Church in Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Ysabel Orosco, Rita Escobar, Mary Orosco and son Richard Sanchez.

She leaves behind children, Tom (Pat) Sanchez of Las Vegas, Nevada, Nancy (Emilio) Andreatta of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Larry (Tamara) Sanchez of Springfield, Colorado.  A brother George (Josie) Orosco of Hugoton, Kansas.  Grandchildren, Mark (Michelle) Miranda, Sandy Miranda, Jennifer Miranda, Nicole (Matt) Houston, Jessica (Jason Hochevar) Sanchez, Amanda (Cory) Butts and, Michael (Devin Clark) Sanchez. Greatgrandchildren, Addie, Lizzie, Alisha, Tailyn, Greison, D.J., Jocelyn and Brayson.  She will be extremely missed by her loved ones.

The "Cande Sanchez" memorial fund has been established at the People's Credit Union for those who wish to express their sympathy.
