Betty (Brandenburg) Hendrix passed away November 24, 2018, at Sharmar Village Assisted Living in Pueblo, Colorado. Dementia and other recent health complications contributed to her death.

Betty was born January 21, 1930, in Vilas, Colorado to John and Cleo (Martin) Fugate.  She graduated from Pritchett High School in 1947 and married Harold Brandenburg one year later in Springfield, Colorado.

Harold and Betty were married for 35 years and owned the Key Chevrolet – Oldsmobile car dealership in Springfield for over 20 years.   Harold passed away in 1983 and five (5) years later Betty married Loyd Hendrix a former Pritchett High School classmate.

Over the years Betty lived in Springfield (58 years), Reno, Buena Vista, and Pueblo West.  She was an excellent artist and loved to garden in the spring and summer months.   She also loved to meet up with old friends and travel to Mexico and Hawaii for extended vacations.

She is preceded in death by her mother Cleo, father John, brother Johnny, husband Harold Brandenburg and husband Loyd Hendrix.  She leaves behind daughter Kathy (Dan) Roachelle, son Larry Brandenburg and son Rick (Chris) Brandenburg.  She will be missed by her grandchildren Jeff, Dana, Chris, Micah, Larissa, Rae and Sara, and several great-grandchildren.

Betty was a kind and gracious woman who had a warm heart and fiery spirit.  She will be deeply missed by her family and many lifelong friends.

Betty requested cremation and a Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 26 th in the Springfield Cemetery.
