Clinton Duane Hoeffner was born August 12, 1946 to Ed and Ethel Hoeffner. Clinton was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in February 2007. He battles this incurable disease until December 12, 2009. Clinton graduated from Campo High School in 1964. On February 27, 1967 he made a lifelong commitment to love, cherish and honor Freda Wait. He lived by those vows until the day he claimed his salvation in Heaven. On January 2, 1968 from this blessed union Waylon Duane Hoeffner was born. A short fifteen monthes later on May 28, 1969 Marlon Wayne Hoeffner was born. Clinton operated a road grader for Baca County for most of his adult life; but as far as his career was concerned being a recycling engineer or "junk man" was his passion. When asked why he worked so hard at scrapping and junking, his reply was "because I love it". He greatest love, however, was his family. His marriage example led Waylon to marry Sheryl Huffman and they gave Clinton two wonderful grand daughters, Kehsian Renea, born December 1, 1993 and Kidryn Rea, born February 18, 1997. Marlon married Kandi Hogan and they gave Clinton a grandson, MKeegan Clint, born December 7, 2005. His family decided to sit down and try to narrow down their favorite memories of special times with Clinton. So many were discussed; trips fishing; trips to the mountains; trips to Branson, Missouri; 4-wheeling trips;, the time they were in the hog business as well as the time they got out of the hog business. All of the many trips and great memories led his family to understand his life goal, to teach his family to be a family. Clinton is survivied by his wife Freda of the home in Campo; his son, Waylon and family of Campo; his son, Marlon and family of Sublette, Kansas. He is also survived by there brothers, Charles (Freda) Hoeffner of Folsom NM, Karl (Pat) Hoeffner of Symer, TX; and Dan Hoeffner of Tyrone, OK. He also has a host of extended family. Clinton is preceded in death by his father, Ed Hoeffner; his mother, Ethel Hoeffner; a brother Leroy Hoeffner; his father-in-law Charley Wait; and two brother's-in-law Charles Wait and Darrel Wait.
