Phyllis L Wait

Phyllis Louise Flack Wait, age 73, of Campo, Colorado passed away on February 25, 2017, at Springfield Hospital of natural causes. She was the beloved wife of Ernest Wait.  Phyllis was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on August 22, 1943, and grew up in Hardin Montana. She was the daughter of Philip and Dorothy Flack. She was married to Ivan Abell for 22 years and had three children. She later married Ernest Wait and would have celebrated 31 years of marriage on February 26th.  Phyllis was a high school graduate and worked many various jobs including managing Ivan’s plumbing shop, doing taxes for years and then spent decades traveling with the family custom harvesting business. Phyllis loved to snowmobile, fish and go asparagus & mushroom hunting in the earlier years and later enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved making her home a show piece of her own style. She also loved to dance especially with her brother.  She was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Thayne, granddaughter, Stephanie Abell her brother Richard (Loretta) Flack. Mother Dorothy (Ben) Hamburg. Father Philip (Polly) Flack  She leaves behind Ernest Wait, Julie Abell, Randy (Aleisa) Abell, Roger (Rhonda) Abell, Debbie (Rick) Mask, Derek (Krystal) Wait, Denny Wait, Darla (Kevin) Russell, Cletha (Roger) Wolfe, her best friend Jackie Roberts and many, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A celebration of Phyllis’s life is being held on Saturday, March 4th at 6:00 pm. The pot-luck dinner is at the Pirate’s Cove in Pritchett, Colorado  Another celebration will be held in Montana at a later date to be determined.
