Geraldine Kay McArthur, 71, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on February 24th 2017 in Denver, Colorado. A family viewing will be held at Maltbie Funeral Services in Springfield, Colorado at 7:00 pm on Monday March 6th 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday March 7th 2017 at First Baptist Church in Springfield Colorado with pastor Mark Spence of Mississippi Avenue Baptist Church and Tim Anderson of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Cemetery. Geraldine was born in Springfield Colorado to Hadley and Beatrice Corn on August 20th, 1945. She went to Springfield High school and graduated with an Associates degree from Denver Baptist Bible College. She married George McArthur on August 6th 1966 in Springfield Colorado. She worked in the missions field for eight years. Subsequently she worked various jobs in childcare, as a secretary at Mountain View Southern Baptist, and as a teacher’s aid at Aurora Christian Academy. Geraldine also played the piano for various churches and in the missions field. She spent most of her time as a homemaker raising her children. Geraldine is preceded in death by father Hadley Corn, mother Beatrice Corn, Sister Sara Corn and brother James Corn. Geraldine is survived by husband George McArthur, children Christian McArthur, Brenda Adams, Philip McArthur, and Jennifer Nelson, Siblings Harold Corn and Joyce Thompson, and nine Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be sons Christian McArthur and Philip McArthur, Grandsons Alexander Wingo and Gary Dee Wingo, and Nephews Sean Corn and Timothy Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers are Brother Harold Corn and Cousin Charlie Kennedy. Memorial Contributions may be given to First Baptist Church of Springfield Colorado- 801 Church St. Springfield CO, 81073
