Hazel L Roberson Profile Photo
Hazel was born June 14, 1929, to William and Nettie Snodgrass in Foster, Oklahoma, the middle of three children. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters, Christene Broom and Mildred Joyce Rouse as well as husband Carl Roberson. The day after graduating from Doyle High School, she married Carl Henry Roberson on May 28, 1949. After their union, they moved to Vilas, Colorado where she became the happy housewife of Carl and he began his farming career. The next April, they welcomed the birth of their first child, Anita Carol. Five years later came their second, Cary Edward. Then two years later came their 3rd, Donna Kay. After 13 years of being a dedicated mother and farming wife, an opportunity arose for Carl to enter the real estate business in Walsh, Colorado. After several years Carl moved his real estate business and his family to Springfield, Colorado. Five years later came their 4th child, Randall Reece. Hazel and Carl thought they would be the proud parents of four children but to their surprise, 9 years later came their youngest, Charise Deann. Hazel primarily stayed home and cared for her family during the years her children were growing up. She would work sporadically cleaning houses to pay for the “little extras” that Hazel and/or children wanted. Her strong point definitely was in her caregiving. She cared for Carl for many years prior to his death in September 1990. She became a Certified Nurse’s Aide once her children were older. Left to mourn her passing, are her 5 children, Carol (James) Tucker, Cary (Glenda) Roberson, Donna (Wade) Senn, Randall (Marty) Roberson, Charise Vigil as well as Grandchildren Brandon Westphal, Bruce Westphal, Amber Tucker, CaryAnne Roberson, Andrew Roberson, Marta Roberson, Reece Roberson, Leah Roberson, Tanner Valdez, Tyler Valdez, Savannah Vigil. Memorial contributions may be made online at www.alz.org to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Hazel.
