Virginia Doreen Hedding went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2015 at the age of 75 years old after a battle with breast cancer. She was born in Berkley, Michigan and resided in Hillsdale, Michigan for over 30 years before moving to Springfield, Colorado in 2003. She was married to her devoted husband of 56 years, William (Bill) Hedding. She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Suzanne Stewart of Canton, Ohio and Janis Leah Powell, of Springfield, Colorado. She is also survived by Dawn's husband John Stewart, daughter Alana Stewart, Janis's husband, David, and their daughters, Shannon and Leah Powell, and David's sons, Brandon Powell, David Powell Jr., and Coltin Powell. Virginia was preceded in death by her father and mother, Everett and Doreen Malone, and her two brothers, Ross and Mike Malone.
Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springfield and had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young woman. She loved to help people from all different walks of life, she cared for the elderly, delivered meals on wheels with Bill, and previously worked at the SECH. She had the gift of gab and loved to talk! She was also a huge Elvis Presley fan and loved listening to his music and collecting memorabilia. She adored her grandchildren most of all.
