Susan was born in Long Beach, California to William Oothout Davidson and Leila Bond Withers. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous ten year battle against breast cancer.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Kelly; beloved children Scott, Leila, and Margaret; her sister Katie; dog, Bogey; and many other family and friends.
She received her BA from Scripps College and Master's degree in social work from the University of California, Berkeley. Susan spent the last 20 years as partner/therapist at Marriage and Family Treatment Center helping children and their families lead better lives. She loved spending time with her family and friends, getting to know her children's friends, cuddling with her dogs, golfing, walking on the beach, listening to jazz, reading books, travel, cooking, planting flowers, watching her favorite shows on TV, taking lont hot baths, playing Sudoku, and helping children have a happier life.
Susan made our world a better place and will be greatly missed by many. She would have wanted any charitable donation made to Community Partnership For Child Development, 2330 Robinson St., Colorado Springs, CO 80907.
Viewing took place February 20, 2009 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 4210 Austin Bluffs Parkway,Colorado Springs, Colorado. Final viewing took place February 21 followed by the memorial service. Burial was February 23, 2009 at Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, Colorado.
