George Andrew Stagner went home to his Heavenly Father on February 4, 2015. Andrew was born on November 18, 1922, at Richards, Colorado, the youngest son of David Madison & Jemima Stagner. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Gary Marlin Stagner and a son-in-law, Dolan Gordon, as well as his parents, five brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Grace Marilyn (Mort) Stagner, sons George David, Billy Gale, and Guy Raymond, and one daughter, Georgie Marilyn Gordon. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He was well known in Colorado and in some parts of Alaska, Oklahoma, and Kansas as a master carpenter of cabinets and furniture, as well as a building contractor with many homes, commercial buildings, and schools as monuments to his craftsmanship. On Mother’s Day in 1980, Andrew publicly gave his life to Jesus. He was a deacon at the Baptist Chapel in Springfield, Colorado. Later he became a member of the Springfield Assembly of God. In 1991 he became a Gideon and was active in that work until Andrew and Grace moved to Hinton, Oklahoma, in 1998. He was a good Christian man, and no man loved his family more than Andrew. A memorial service will be held at the Springfield Assembly of God Church - 400 Church St. in Springfield, Colorado, on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00am
