Mary Willie Lance

Mary Willie (Lucus) Lance was born on February 26, 1907. She was the daughter of Retta and George Lucus. She grew up with her parents on a farm near Mountain Park, Oklahoma. She finished high school at Snyder, Oklahoma in the year of 1925. Willie met and married Elsie Lance in the year of 1926 at Fredrick, Oklahoma. To this union was born three children; Oliver Lance, Betty Jo Lance and Lora Faye (Lance) Barton. Betty Jo passed away in 1957; Oliver in 1977 and Lora Faye in 2008. Willie moved with her family to Colorado in 1944. She was an active member in the church all her life. She leaves to mourn her passing; two grandsons, Larry Barton of Guymon, OK; and Steven Barton of Omaha, NE; one granddaughter, Carla Sadler (Sam) of Tulia, TX and one Great grandson, Bart Sadler of Tulia, TX. No Tears, No Flowers When I lay me down to sleep I ask my loved ones not to weep. For I’ll be going to my reward, Living in a mansion with our dear Lord. Send no flowers when I am dead, No lilies of the valley or Roses red. I’ll have no need for Blossoms rare For I’ll be where there’s beauty beyond compare. So don’t be and happy and please don’t cry For we’ll all be together in the Sweet by and by
