Karla C Cheek

Karla Cheek age 57 of Pritchett, CO passed away peacefully Monday, February 9, 2015 at home. Karla was the daughter of Arthur F. Wiedeman Jr. and Kathleen Kiichli Wiedeman Wright. She was born in Bozeman, MT, raised in Cut Bank, MT, moved to Guymon, OK where she raised her family, and later moved to Pritchett, CO. Karla spent the majority of her life raising children. She never left a child in the cold, making sure the individual knew he or she was loved, cared for, fed, and mostly, what a vital part of the world he or she was, was her ultimate goal. She had an indescribably big kindhearted nature about her and anybody that knew her knew they were important and significant! She enjoyed family gatherings, making everyone feel loved and welcome, and buying “goodies for her grandchildren (spoiling them).” Her most notable attribute to anyone that knew her was her hug (the kind you receive and know without a shadow of a doubt you are loved); you just didn’t leave mom without a hug! She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur F. Wiedeman Jr., mother, Kathleen Kiichli Wiedeman Wright, sister, Karen I. Wiedeman, and daughter, Jill R. Cheek. Survivors include her husband, Eddie R. Cheek of Pritchett, CO and their children, Jeanine (Cheek) Costner, her husband James, and their two children James and Justice Costner of Guymon, OK. Michelle Cheek, her fiancé, Thomas Eikenberry, and their children Victoria, Gabriel, Cheyenne, Jillian, Lacey, and Leslie of Springfield, CO. Billie (Cheek) Hartley, her husband Ryan, and their children Hunter, Jill, and Levi Hartley of Grand Junction, CO. Jill Cheek’s daughter, Icey Wilson, and her (Icey’s) father and step-mother, Zerrell and Heather Wilson of Las Animas, CO. Ex-husband Maynard L. Dean of Cut Bank, MT and their children, Amanda (Dean) Verner, her husband Seth, and their children Veronica and Cooper of Yarbrough, OK. Melissa (Dean) Padilla, her husband Joey, and their children, Monica and her fiancé, Genaro Barrera, Courtney, and Tyler Padilla of Guymon, OK. Katie Dean of Pritchett, CO. Her brother, Rick Wiedeman, his wife, Terry, and their children Brittney, Cassie, and Tyler of East Helena, MT. Her niece, Brandi Wiedeman of Fort Morgan, CO. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 709 N. Ellison in Guymon, OK at 2:00 pm.
