Jazz Michael Saldana, 17, sunrise March 22, 1991, sunset November 21, 2008; left this earth together with his parents, Rocky and Pamela.
Preceded in death by grandparents; Fernie Hunter and Carmen Reyes; brother-in-law; Adam Velez; uncles, Andrew Reyes, Greg Bechtle, and Mike Hunter; aunt, Linda Saldana; great-niece, Larissa Saldana. Survived by sister, Celeste Currington and Dana Velez; grand-parents, Sharon Jones, Jim and Judy Bechtle; aunts, Helen (Lawrence) Gurule, Denise (Frederick) Kidd; Gloria Reyes, Geraldine (Alfred) Baker, Staci (Mike) Goodbar; uncles, James (Yvonne) Saldana, Steve (Cindy) Reyes, Steve (Nicole) Bechtle; nieces and nephews, Vanessa, Lisa, Nathan, and Zachary Saldana, Devyn and Desirae Velez; numerous cousins, including cousin and best friend, T.J. Grace.
Jazz was born in Pueblo and lived in Denver, San Antonia and Memphis, before moving to Springfield, CO., with his parents in 2004. He was a junior at Springfield High School. He loved to draw and was an avid OU fan. He enjoyed working and playing with his parents and spending time with his family.
A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in the Springfield High School Gymnasium. Memorial Mass was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Pueblo.
