Pamela Denise Saldana, 47, sunrise January 22, 1961, and sunset November 21, 2008; left this earth together with husband, Rocky and son, Jazz. Preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph and Levina Bechtle, and Fernie Hunter; brother, Greg Bechtle; uncle, Mike Hunter. Survived by parents, Sharon Jones, Jim and Judy Bechtle; sister, Staci (Mike) Goodbar; brother, Steve (Nicole) Bechtle; stepdaughters, Celeste Currington and Dana Velez; grandchildren, Vanessa, Lisa, Nathan, and Zachary Saldana, Devyn and Desirae Velez; great-grandchildren, Dominik and Danielle Vindana, Aiden Gutierrez; brothers-and sisters-in law, James (Yvonne) Saldana, Steve (Cindy) Reyes, Helen (Lawrence) Gurule, Denise (Frederick) Kidd, Gloria Reyes, and Geraldine (Alfred) Baker; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Pam was born in Pueblo and graduated from Central High School in 1979. She attended college at West Texas State University in Canon, Texas, and Wade’s School of Fashion Design in Dallas. She returned to Pueblo to begin a career and met Rocky, who she married on September of 1990. After Jazz was born, they moved around the country living in Denver, San Antonio, Memphis, and finally settling in Springfield, Colorado. Together, they opened Hometown Burritos, and later Hometown Capitol Theater. They worked hard to build their businesses, enjoyed being a part of the community, and loved spending time with all of their family. A Memorial Service was held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in the Springfield High School Gymnasium. A Memorial Mass was held 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Pueblo.
