Rocky “Rogue” Michael Saldana, 56, sunrise on September 10, 1952, sunset November 21, 2008; left this earth together with his wife, Pamela and son, Jazz.
Preceded in death by mother, Carmen Reyes; brother, Andrew Reyes; sister, Linda Saldana; son-in-law, Adam Velez; great-granddaughter, Larissa Saldana. Survived by daughters, Celeste Currington and Dana Velez; grandchildren, Vanessa, Lisa, Nathan and Zachary Saldana, Devyn and Desirae Velez; great-grandchildren, Dominik and Danielle Vidana, Aiden Gutierrez; brothers, James (Yvonne) Saldana and Steve (Cindy) Reyes; sister, Helen (Lawrence) Gurule, Denise (Fred) Kidd, Gloria Reyes, and Geraldine (Alfred) Baker; friend and mother of his daughters, Valerie Deleon; father-and mothers-in-law; James (Judy) Bechtle, and Sharon Jones; sister-in-law, Staci (Mike) Goodbar; brother-in-law, Steve (Nicole) Bechtle; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Rocky was born and raised in Pueblo, where he met Pamela, and they married in September of 1990. After Jazz was born, they moved around the country living in Denver, San Antonio, Memphis, and finally settling in Springfield, CO. Together, they opened Hometown Burritos, and later Hometown Capitol Theater. They work hard to build their businesses, enjoyed being a part of the community, and loved spending time with all of their family.
A Memorial Service was held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in the Springfield High School Gymnasium. A Memorial Mass was held 3:00 Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Pueblo.
