Jonathon Chance Self

Jonathon Chance Self was born July 9, 1991 in Liberal Kansas and departed unexpectedly on December 12, 2014. Jon is survived by his loving parents Jeff and Melonie Self and brother Justin of Springfield, his girlfriend Kenzy Kaleck, Grandparents Judy Whitaker, Charles Whitaker, Eddie and Kelly Self, and Ron and Patty Grasmick. Jon is preceded in death by his Grandma Eleanor Grasmick, Uncle Jason Self, Uncle Scott Whitaker and Uncle Ricky Buck. Funeral services will be held December 17th 2014 at the Springfield High School Gym at 2:00 PM. Community visitation will be held Tuesday December 16th at Maltbie Funeral Services-265 West 8th Ave. in Springfield from 9am-5pm. The “Jon Self Memorial fund” has been established at the Frontier Bank in Springfield for those who wish to express their sympathy. The family will be using the funds for a local project in Jon’s memory. Funds may be given directly or by way of the funeral home.
