Clarence Ray “Dick” Williams was born in Tolleson, Arizona on August 11, 1939 to Clarence and Essie Williams. In his younger years he traveled with the family from Oklahoma to California to pick cotton and peaches. He later went to grade school in Oklahoma. He attended some years of school in Campo, where he lived with his sister (Charlene and Ken Johnson). He graduated from the 8th grade in Campo. He then went to Denver to live with his half sister (Sue and Frances Hoover). Later he went to California where he worked in the National Guards. He ended up back in Denver where he met and married Violet Black Bird. They went to Valliant Oklahoma to care for his Mother. While there he worked for the electric company and Brown and Root. They ended up back in Campo, where he worked for Earl and Jerry Schnaufer and then Jerry Houser. He was preceded in death by his Mom and Stepdad, his Dad and Stepmom, a sister Charlene, 3 half sisters Jewel, Sue, and Pearl, and a baby Brother David. After his battle with cancer, he leaves to mourn his wife Violet, Mark and his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a half Brother Wilbert Leon Williams as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his many friends.
