Patrick "Axel" Earl Mattison

Axel was 65 years old when he passed away on March 16th 2014. He moved to Pritchett, Colorado after retiring as a Master Machinist in Houston, Texas. Axel is survived by his loving Kelly Mason and her daughter Katie McCormick. He was a kind and loving father to his daughter Sarah Sayle Mattison Pargac and husband Joey Pargac and in the words of Axel's beloved granddaughter Jacey Sayle Pargac, "he is an amazing Paw Paw." He is also survived by his daughter Abigail Mattison Hendrick. He will always be dearly loved by his sister Mandy Jones, her husband and dear friend Pat Jones, as well as their children Brennan Jones and husband Dalton Johnson, Nathan Jones and wife Marta Jones. As well as friends that became family. Axel was known by many to always be willing to lend a helping hand or engage in deep conversation. He will be missed by all.A celebration of life was held at 4:00pm on Friday, March 21st at the home of Kelly Mason. The family appreciates the generosity, hospitality, kind thoughts and prayers from the friends of Pritchett and Springfield.
