Vera Faye Moody

Vera Faye (Locke) Moody was born July 15, 1937 in Springfield Colorado to Clyde and Sarah Locke. She was born with double pneumonia and battled illness her entire life and with care and love from her father, mother and grandmother Brooks, they managed to raise her to be an adult. Sarah and Grandmother Brooks took her to California for three months at the advice of her doctors in the hopes that the climate there would improve her condition. She grew up in the Pritchett community attending Pritchett public schools. Faye was married to Estle (Boots) Moody on April 09, 1969 and one child was born to this union, Sarah Ann Moody on April 21, 1972. Faye and Boots made their home in Pritchett later moving to Springfield where they remained until their deaths. Boots passed away on December 24, 2011 at home in Springfield and Faye lived the remainder of her life contentedly at “The Cottage” in Springfield passing away on March 11, 2014, from complications of congestive heart failure. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde in 1982 and Sarah in 1989, her brother Gerald (Mutt) Locke in 2003, her husband Boots in 2011 and numerous other relatives. Faye is survived by her Daughter Sarah Ann, Brother Ernie and Sister Charlene, several nephews and nieces and sisters-in-law Nancy Locke and Zelda Locke and Brother-in-law Norman Harley and numerous friends.
