Lois Jean (Lundberg) Zellner Mason was born May 30, 1923 in Newton, Kansas. She passed away at her home in Springfield Colorado February 17, 2014 at the age of 90. Lois was born to Arthur Arron Lundberg and Clara May (Phillippi) Lundberg. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Lois’ father was a salesman. Her mother was homemaker and later became a practical nurse. Lois was married to Kenneth Zellner when she was seventeen. Two children were born to this union, Gloria “Pat” Jean Zellner and Jimmy “Jim” Kenneth Zellner. Lois and Kenneth divorced later. Lois married John James Mason in 1945. They lived in Springfield, CO. They had two sons, Jerry John Mason and Don Edward Mason. Lois was a homemaker and John worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and retired early due to health issues. John died in 1972. Lois worked at J’s Motel in Springfield after John’s death until her retirement in 1985. She liked dogs and raised dachshunds for a few years. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her father in 1945, and her mother in 1979; her son Jerry in 1985; her son Jim in 2001; her grandson Shane Mason in 2004; her siblings: Lola Breth in 1998; John Lundberg in 2002; and Launetta Rose in 2008; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Lois is survived by her daughter, Gloria “Pat” (Fred) Trujillo; her son, Don (Terry) Mason; her daughter-in-law Shelia Mason; her sister, Lauvon Christie; her grand-children: Tony, Jerry, and Kerry Kindler; Teresa Rhodes; Christa Cobb; Becky Zellner; Marlo Mason and Shannon Mason; three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Lois’ grandson Kerry Jon Kindler is acknowledged for being Lois’ excellent care-giver for the last three and a half years. He did a wonderful job of caring for his grandmother. Lois will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Southeast Colorado Hospital- 373 E. 10th Ave. Springfield, CO
