Thelma Lee Hickey was born April 9th, 1908 in Winfield Kansas to Charles Oscar and Della Lee Jackson. As a young girl, she moved with her parents to the Springfield area. On September 16th, 1933 she married (Mike) Hickey. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in law, Verdine.
For many years, Thelma was an active member of her community. She was an active emmer of the United Methodist Church. She volunteered many hours at the local hospital. She was also an active member of both the DAR and Eastern Star.
Thelma is survived by one son, Max and wife Dorthy, 3 grandchildren, Marilyn Bell and husband Randy, Barbara Bradford and husband Jerry and Dale Hickey, as well as 2 great-grandsons, David Bell and Jeffery Bell, wife Gerri, and 2 step great-great grandchildren; Kailey and Trenton Petit.
At 94 Thelma moved to Maplewood Homes in Walsh where she spent her remaining years. She will be missed by all who knew her.
