Kenneth Wayne Eskew

Kenneth Wayne Eskew was born to Kenneth Everett Eskew and Florence Gertrude Eskew on December 8, 1949 in La Junta Colorado. They moved from Pritchett to Edler in 1950. He attended school in Edler until 7th grade when they closed the school. He then attended school in Springfield. Wayne graduated from Springfield High School in 1967. He studied mechanics at Lamar Junior College. He graduated from CSU Pueblo in accounting in 1972. Stuart remembers them learning to ride on a heifer calf and then Dad and the boys took the heifer to Springfield for the county fair parade. Wayne rode the calf down Main Street until the horses scared him. It took off and drug Wayne down Main Street with Dad and Stuart chasing after. They finally caught him and all ended well. Wayne would bring toys home from school for the younger ones. He was always the protector for his younger brothers and sisters. Wayne spent the last 10 years of his life at the Fowler Health Care Center where they took excellent care of him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his Father Kenneth E. Eskew, and his Mother Florence G. Eskew. He is survived by his brother Stuart (Linda), sister Beverly Lohrey, sister Colleen Robinson, brother Kelley Eskew, and brother Kurt Eskew. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and relatives. Kenneth Wayne went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2013 at the age of 63. Interment will be in the Springfield Cemetery.
