Nancy Jo Rose

Nancy Jo (Cole) Rose was born on June 1, 1943 in Pritchett Colorado to E.S. “Bud” and Mary Ellen (Randles) Cole. She was the third child of their family that included Gerald, Ellen, Linda, Susan and Dawna. She started first grade in 1949 at Pritchett and she attended all her school years there except one, her freshman year which was at Las Animas, Colorado. She graduated from Pritchett High School in 1961. Nancy Jo attended Cosmetology College in Denver from 1961-1962 and worked in a beauty shop until she married in 1964. March 7, 1964 she married her soul mate Albert Rose and they moved to the Springfield area where they spent many years farming and ranching. Todd Coleman was born in 1966 and Leslie Ann arrived in 1969 to complete their family. Nancy Jo loved being a stay at home wife and mother. Nancy Jo was preceded in death by her husband Albert, both her parents, E.S. “Bud” Cole, and Mary Cole, her stepmother Eunice Cole, her in laws Boyd and Dottie Rose, two grandchildren, Dustin Allen and Tonja Rae Rose, nephew Lane Frost and numerous aunts, uncles and friends. Nancy Jo lost her battle with cancer on January 2, 2013 and leaves behind her family, Todd and Wray Jean Rose and their two children, Dillon and Matt, Leslie and Barry Morris and their son Levi all of Springfield, CO. Also surviving are her siblings Gerald and Charlene Cole of Los Lunas, NM; Ellen and Leo James of Foss, OK; Linda and Clifton Martin of Las Animas, CO; Susan and Gene Long of Cheraw, CO; Dawna and Gary Miller of Las Animas, CO; sister in law Elsie and Clyde Frost of Lane, OK; brother in law Gary and Margaret Rose of Bezanson, Alberta Canada; Uncle Allen and Aunt Lula Cole of Springfield, CO; Uncle Taylor Wilson of Pueblo West, CO; Aunt Margaret Jordan of Springfield, CO; and numerous other family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Southeast Colorado Hospice or Southeast Colorado Home Health Care 373 East 10th Ave. Springfield, CO.
