Donnie Charles Jarvis

Dona (Donnie) Charles Jarvis, age 77 of San Antonio, TX went home to be with his Lord after a short battle of cancer on Thursday August 9, 2012 at his home in San Antonio TX with his loving and caring family by his side. Donnie was born on August 30th, 1935 to the Thomas H. and Nellie M. Jarvis in Lamar Colorado. He married Nona Darlene Wilcox on June 6th, 1954 he had two children Michael Don and Debbie Darlene. In 1989 Don and Darlene adopted two more boys Thomas and Martyn Durfee. Darlene passed away in May 25th, 2001. Donnie then found another soul mate and loving companion in Betty Krieger they were married on June 4th, 2005. Donnie is survived by his wife Betty (Kreiger) Jarvis of San Antonio TX, Son Michael Don (Cheryl) Jarvis of San Antonio, TX, Daughter Debbie (Thomas) Van De Grift of Pueblo, CO, Son Thomas (Julie) Durfee of Cheyenne, WY, Martyn Durfee of Chandler, AZ, Roger (Juk) Ludders, Chandler AZ. Kevin (Jessica) Hoke Nunn, CO AZ, seven Grandchildren Lance, Kayla, Dillon, Levi, Abigail Durfee, and Jason Ludders, Great Grand Children Haylee and Thomas VanDeGrift. Donnie is preceded in death by his parents Thomas H. and Nellie (Ross) Jarvis, Brother Ralph (Dorothy) Jarvis, Sister Carolyn (Alonso) Goodman, Sister Jessie (Chuck) Eggum and wife Nona Darlene (Wilcox) Jarvis. Donnie was very active in church and became Deacon at First Southern Baptist Church of Mesa Arizona where he served for many years. Donnie had a very special love for his family.
