Dorothy Mae Luellen – Passed Away March 15, 2012
Dorothy was born November 24, 1929 at Hooker, Oklahoma to Lorentz and Jacie (Eskew) Krieger. She passed away peacefully at her residence in Scottsdale on March 15, 2012 with her family by her side.
She married Gene Dale Luellen on August 11, 1947. They had two children Jerry Gene Luellen and Crystal Dawn Collette. They lived in Pritchett until 1956 when Gene got a job with Bartlett and Company Grain Elevator in Walsh. In 1959 they transferred to the Bartlett Elevator in Boise City, Oklahoma. In February of 1969 they bought the Pritchett Grocery Store from Ted and Edith Locke and returned to their home town where Gene and Dorothy ran the store until closing it in 1979.
Dorothy loved working in her yard, painting ceramics, camping, fishing and vacationing with family and friends. She was a very loving and caring person and would do anything for anyone. She was totally devoted to her children and loved being with them. She was very fortunate for the last few years of years of life to live close to Crystal and then with Jerry in Scottsdale.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Gene Luellen, father and mother Lorentz and Jacie Krieger, brother Chet Krieger, and sisters Vesper Ormiston, Mary Mayo, and Elsie Chappell. She is survived by her son Jerry Luellen of Scottsdale, Arizona, and daughter Crystal Collette and husband David of Colorado Springs.
