The following is a letter Jerry worte to his mother in 2004: I feel my time in nearing the end. I don't want anyone to be sad or cry. As I celebrated life all of my life. I worked on the seas, saw South America, the Caribbean, plus the Persian Gulf. I have ventured to pack in the High Lonesome of the Rock Mountains, when I am there I feel next to God. In between I was privleged to be able to get on and ride most of them, the best bucking horses in the contry. I was blessed to be able to run race horses all over the country. I fathered two of the best kids any man could. I love my family.
