Lillian Margret High joined her husband, Willie Norman High in heaven on May 31st 2011 at her home in Springfield, CO while surrounded by family and friends. She was born on July 2, 1941 in Cahone, CO to James and Thelda Neely. She was a loving mother, a wonderful sister, a caring aunt, a dear friend and the best Grandmother ever. Lillian lived over half of her life in Springfield, CO where she was best knows for her big heart and willingness to help everyone. She will be missed by all, her wonderful stories, friendly smile and frequent trips down town. Lonf N Jug will never be the same without her. Car races, in Lamar to watch her son race was a real joy for her, she also enjoyed her many conversations about Grandkids with Dovey.
Lillian had a short battle with cancer at Penrose St. Francis Hospital in Clorado Springs, CO before making it back home for one final time. She moved to Springfield with her family in 1974 and spent most of her years as a homemaker. Prior to 1974 she lived in Naturita, CO where she enjoyed life and being a wife and mom.
Lillian is survived by her three sons, Norman High and wife, Hallie of Springfield, CO; Rodney High of Springfield, CO; Trent High and wife, Anna of Gibbon, NE; three brothers, Burrell Neely and wife, Bonnie of Glendive, MT: Myrl Neely and wife, Ruthie of Burlington, CO; and Roy Neely and wif, Lela of Norman, OK; and one sister, Linda Relaford of Craig, CO; grandchildren Aubrey and Allie of Gibbon, NE and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents James and Thelda Neely; a brother, Milfred Neely and a granddaughter, Sheylean Reena.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 2, at Rich Funeral home. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Springfield, CO on Friday, June 3rd 2011 with Pastor John Kemper in charge of the services.
