Edgar M. Wells

Edgar Miles Wells, 79 passed away December 21, 2010. He was born to D. M. and Dixie Wells on May 4, 1931 in Balmorhea, Tx. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents D. M. and Dixie Wells and a brother, Doyce Wells Sr. He is survived by a niece Joyce Errolynn Anthony (Norman) of Falfurrios, TX; and a nephew Doyce Wells Jr. (Cindylee) of Brenham, TX. Edgar is also survived by a great niece Dixie Lynn Villarrel (Gus) and their children Brian and Natilie; and two great nephews Cole Wells of Los Altos Hills, CA and David Wells of Brenham, TX. Mr. Wells was truly a professional educator and adminnstrator. He obtained degrees from Sul Ross State in Alpine, TX, the University of Texas in Austin, TX and Adams State University in Colorado. He challenged every student and parent that he came in contact with to better themselves and to reach beyond the standards set before them. Edgar is not only survived by his family but by scores of friends, students, parents, and fellow teachers that he taught, mentored, and truly cared for. Edgar invested many years into the future of Springfield, Lamar, and Southeast Colorado. He served them well and they loved him dearly.
